This policy explains how Buddy & Rex Studios handles information when you play Buddy & Rex, use its online features, visit our website or contact us. Our privacy contact is support@buddyrexstudios.com.

Progress stored on your device

The game stores progress and preferences locally, including your chosen Buddy name, coins, earned gems, missions, rescued companions, equipment, room decorations and sound settings. Conversations with Buddy use bundled game logic and recordings; they are not sent to an online chatbot. Local progress is not a complete publisher-operated cloud save. Device backups may be handled separately by Android or your device provider.

Google Play Games

Google Play Games supports game sign-in and rankings. Google may process your gamer identity, avatar, scores, gameplay interactions and SDK analytics/diagnostic data as described in its own policies. Leaderboard visibility depends on your Play Games profile settings. Our verification service uses a server-verified player identity and a derived account identifier to authorize online game features; it does not receive your Google password.

Purchases and game-service records

Purchases are processed through Google Play. Our server receives the product identifier, purchase-verification token and purchase or refund status needed to verify, acknowledge and restore your unlock. It stores account-linked entitlement and transaction records, timestamps and any server-managed wallet or item ownership data used by the game. We do not receive your payment-card number. Test purchases may be processed during testing.

Security and technical information

Our Google Cloud and Firebase services process network requests, authentication/session information and technical logs needed to operate and protect the game. Such service logs can include request times, IP addresses, response status, client/device or software information, and pseudonymous account identifiers. Online requests use HTTPS. No security measure can guarantee absolute security.

Support information

If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to provide. We use them to answer your request, investigate issues and handle privacy or deletion requests. Do not send passwords, authentication codes or full payment-card details.

Why information is used

Service providers and sharing

We use Google Play, Google Play Games, Firebase and Google Cloud for platform, authentication, purchase, hosting and storage services, and our email provider for support. They process information under their applicable terms and privacy policies, including processing in countries outside your country of residence. Rankings may be visible to other players according to your Google Play Games settings. We may disclose information where legally required or necessary to investigate misuse or protect users and services.

We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. The game has no advertising SDK and no publisher-operated advertising or analytics service. Google’s platform SDKs may collect their own service analytics and diagnostics.

Retention and deletion

Local progress remains until you remove it or clear the app’s storage, subject to device backup settings. Server-held account and entitlement records are retained while needed to provide online features, restore purchases and manage refunds. Support messages are retained while needed to resolve requests and maintain necessary support records. We may retain limited transaction, security or legal records where necessary for fraud prevention, refunds, accounting or legal obligations; we explain relevant exceptions when handling a deletion request.

To request deletion of publisher-controlled game account data, follow our deletion instructions. We may verify ownership before taking action. Removing data from our game services does not delete your Google Account or Google’s own records. Google Play Games data can be managed in your Play Games settings and Google Account controls.

Your choices

You can manage Google Play Games profile visibility, change available game sound/preferences, clear local app storage, and contact us about access, correction or deletion of information we control. Rights may vary by location. Avoid optional online rankings if you do not want to use them. Sign-in and verification are needed for the game’s online purchase-restoration features.

Players under 13

Buddy & Rex is intended for players aged 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review and address it.

This website

These pages have no analytics scripts, tracking pixels, advertising or contact-upload form. Hosting services process the technical requests needed to deliver the pages. Email links open your email app; information is sent only if you choose to send an email.
